Industry charity initiatives created value in several ways:
- Strengthening relationships between travel professionals
- Encouraging industry-wide participation in charitable causes
- Building stronger community engagement across travel networks
- Promoting responsible tourism values within the sector
The fifth annual trek, held between April 13 and 20, 2026, brought together 50 travel industry professionals who completed more than 100 kilometres along the Camino de Santiago through Galicia. The initiative raised over £40,000 for Planeterra and ABTA LifeLine, supporting both community tourism projects and travel industry professionals in need. Since 2019, the initiative has raised more than £165,000 and has become a recognised event on the UK travel industry calendar.

At
Technomine Travel Solutions, this commitment was reflected through action. Sales Director Chris Oakes participated in the wider industry effort, reinforcing the company’s belief that strong travel partnerships are built through shared contribution and community support.
The charity walk remained a clear reminder that an industry built on connecting people also comes together to support communities worldwide.
